Join us, as we go up to Jerusalem, the City of our King, to worship the King of Kings!
Itinerary 15 to 26 October 2024:
Drive up to Jerusalem for a coffee & bagel. Visit Qumran where the Dead Sea scrolls were found. Visit the Ein Gedi reserve, where David hid from Saul and wrote many Psalms. Visit the impressive Masada where King Herod built a fortress and where Eleazar led the last Jews in the revolt against the Romans. Check into the beautiful David Dead Sea Resort & Spa. Join the ICEJ for the opening evening of the Feast of Tabernacles celebrations.
Float in the healthy mineral rich Dead Sea. Check out of the Dead Sea Spa. Visit Abraham’s Tel at Beersheva. Drive down towards the Gaza border if safe and do a solidarity visit at kibbutz Be’eri and the Nova festival site to understand what happened on 7 Oct. Go back to Jerusalem and book into the Grand Court Hotel. Attend the ICEJ Parade of the Nations event.
Visit Caiaphas house and the dungeon where Jesus might have been held the night before his death. Visit the Garden of Gethsemane and view the Eastern gate through which our Messiah will soon walk. Visit the Pools of Bethesda and the Christian quarter. Visit the Garden tomb/communion service. Enjoy the evening on the streets of Jerusalem.
Israel Museum. Lunch at Genesis Land. Free night to visit Ben Yehuda and enjoy coffee on the streets of Jerusalem etc. Join the ICEJ celebrations in the evening.
Day 5 (20th Sun) – Visit Shilo, site of first Tabernacle. Possible visits to other sites/settlement in Judea/Sameria (“West Bank”). Evening event at the ICEJ Feast celebrations.
Visit Yad Vashem Holocaust Centre. Lunch at the Shuk/Market. Meet rest of the South Africans to walk together in the Jerusalem March. Hotel for supper. Evening off – visit Ben Yehuda for coffee.
Worship at Sukkat Hallal 24hr praise centre. Walk through Damascus gate and have lunch in the Old City. Walk and pray on the walls of Jerusalem, pray at the Western Wall & visit the Jewish Quarter. Evening off – visit Ben Yehuda for coffee.
Visit the City of David, Southern Steps of the Temple Mount and Hezekiah tunnel. Free time to do final shopping or sites. Day of Prayer – South African slot. Evening off – visit Ben Yehuda for coffee.
Check out of the Grand Court Hotel. Say farewell to Jerusalem from the Mt of olives, from where Yeshua ascended and to where he will return. Baptisms at the Jordan River. Drive down from the Galilee along the Jordan Valley. Visit the ancient synagogue at Capernaum on the Sea of Galilee and Mt of Beatitudes where we meditate on these profound teachings of Yeshua/Jesus. Check in at hotel in the Galilee. Simchat Torah.
